Reflections on INFO 84

Article Abstract:

The Seventh European Information Technology and Office Automation Exhibition was held at the Barbican, London from February 21-24, 1984. The exhibit was well attended and had over 800 exhibitors in over seventy-four different categories. An interesting feature was an Instant Info Stand that provided product listing and map locations of all the exhibitors in a selected category.

To be successful on the Internet, Web merchants are building long-term relationships with there customers. The best way to personalize a Web site is to identify a customer as soon as they enter the site. Also, merchants should differentiate in meeting customers needs. Interaction and customization play an important role as well.
