Aiming for 10% share, Fujitsu General builds on video expertise

Fujitsu General Ltd has introduced its LPF-8200 LCD projector. The XGA projector offers brightness 2,3000 and conforms to the SXGA, SVGA and VGA standards. The mode features DVD compatibility and allows a variety of connections including video input for DVD players and other devives. The projector uses three 1.8-inch polysilicon thin-film transisotr LCDs and a 440W metal halide lamp. Projection distances range from 1.5 m for 40-inch images to 11.7 m for 300-inch images.

Mitsubishi Electric Corp has entered the burgeoning LCD monitor market with the RDT180S 18.1-inch thin-film transistor LCD monitor. The RDT180S boasts of a plug-and-play function and an automatic adjustment function that regularly rectifies shear in the clock phase or problems in image position. An asymmetrical sharpness filter circuit also offers control over optimum brightness distribution during image enlargement.
