AT&T will accept charges from online shoppers

Article Abstract:

AT and T Corp and electronic marketing services firm Clickbuytel Inc. have started an electronic business payment system that will use the former's phone accounts for charging online purchases. Clickbuytel, which will market the credit transaction system, said the no-interest credit program will become popular among merchants because it offers a more secure way of making online purchases. Clickbuytel CEO Marcus Roberts said that two companies have already joined the program and he expects to have another 50 clients by Sep 2000.

MBNA, Military.com co-brand credit card

Article Abstract:

MBNA America Bank and Military.com have entered into an agreement to co- brand a credit card after signing a deal in Jan 2001. Military.com will offer the card at its finance channel. The cards will also be promoted using direct mail and television ads through the A and E Television network. The military site has 80 million military-oriented members that are given free information on career transition. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Aetna targets small firms

Health insurance provider Aetna US Healthcare Inc has partnered with AtYourBusiness.com, an online firm that helps employers manage their workforces, to offer health benefits programs to small businesses with eight to 10 employees. The Internet company has been tasked to provide requesting employers healthcare quotes and advise Aetna when follow-up phone calls are needed.
