Bluefly takes wing in Vogue

Article Abstract:

Online fashion retailer Bluefly.com has placed a 16-page insert and a 15% discount coupon on the May 2001 issue of Vogue magazine. The insert was included in as many as 750,000 Vogue copies sent to subscribers and sold at newstands in Los Angeles, CA, and New York City, NY. Alanna Richter, VP for marketing at Bluefly, said the main purpose of the insert is to drive traffic, and made to look like a catalog. Bluefly sells designer apparel and household furnishings at heavy discounts on its Web site.

Company Store debuts spinoff book

Article Abstract:

The Company Store has launched a new mail-order catalog called At Home with the Company Store, which will deal primarily with furniture and home accessories. The 72-page catalog offers mid-range to high-end items such as sofas, armchairs, TV cabinets and side tables. Company Store is positioning the catalog towards middle-aged women, with annual family incomes of at least $100,000. The company would not disclose how may catalogs were printed but 100,000 copies have already been mailed.

NapaStyle focuses on house brands
