Bush signs business tax relief bill

President George W Bush signed the $ 143 billion business tax relief bill bringing into law the American Jobs Creation Act, which provides a 3 percent tax deduction to companies. The energy- efficiency tax credit provisions, including the Energy Star tax credit language and the water meter accelerated tax depreciation language were rejected on the grounds that the tax reliefs would affect the Energy Bill due to be passed by Congress.
