Business as usual at North

Article Abstract:

Milford, CT-based sail manufacturer North Sails Pres Tom Whidden has announced that his company continus to go about business, as usual, despite a series of legal battles with Greensboro, GA-based rival manufacturer Sobstad. The latest court decision has enabled North Sails to continue designing, manufacturing and marketing its popular 3DL sails while it appeals a previous court ruling that its product infringes on the patents owned by Sobstad.

Insurer wants marina to repay Katrina claim

Article Abstract:

State Farm insurance company's claim against Alabama's Dog River Marina asking for reimbursement of money received by the marina for damages caused by Hurricane Katrina is discussed. The agreement between State Farm and the marina required the marina to secure its vessels in wake of a storm, which it was unable to do.
