Quaker Oats Co of Chicago, IL, has launched a new spot TV ad campaign for its Life Cereal. The new ads will again feature a breakfast star named Mikey, featured in the Clio award-winning commercial that started airing in 1972. The campaign will include a Mikey-promotional packaging, an intensive public relations outreach program, an on-pack collectible watch promotion and a Mikey-dedicated Web site. The campaign was developed by FCB Worldwide.

TLP wins American Airlines, Fetzer Vineyards

TLP Inc has been selected as the advertising agency of record by American Airlines and Fetzer Vineyards. Both accounts have combined annual billings of $12 million. TLP Pres Gary VonKennel said both contracts serve as proof of their clients' trust in the creativity, resources and leadership of TLP. COO Sandi Means said the company would beef up all of its departments to accomodate both new clients. Means added that there would be significant opportunities for career advancement at all levels of the organization.

Buy.com, the Aliso Viejo, CA-based online retailer, has picked Santa Monica, CA-based Rubin Postaer and Associates (RPA) as its new advertising agency of record. Rubin Postaer, an independent marketing and advertising firm, will handle all offline advertising and marketing activities as well as media planning and buying for the online company. Buy.com chose RPA because of its track record in launching new brands as well as invigorating old ones.
