DM agencies seek to bring expats home

Article Abstract:

Ireland's direct marketing agencies have their work cut out for them by the country's information technology (IT) industry, to bring home Irish expatriates holding jobs in the US. The recruitment drive was brought about by a resurgent IT industry in Ireland, coupled with a shortage of qualified personnel. As part of the campaign to stem the acute labor shortage, Ireland's direct marketing agencies have launched job fairs to attract US-based Irish nationals as well as American IT personnel.

Maverick Irish DM agency sacks clients, wins prizes

Article Abstract:

Ireland-based direct marketing agency Target Marketing has earned a reputation as a no-nonsense agency with its strategy of terminating clients who do not appreciate the firm's approach to direct marketing. The unorthodox approach has made the firm a winner, as can be gleaned from the 11 awards it took home from an Irish direct marketing competition. The firm has made it a point to use the Internet and has entered into the deregulated telecommunications industry of Ireland.
