Disc drive: being laid up in bed with a back injury didn't stop one civil servant from pushing through reforms on government procurement

Article Abstract:

Jay Jayasundara is a civil servant in the Central Unit on Procurement at the UK Treasury and is responsible for devising methods of applying the reforms in construction procurement for government projects. Confined to bed and in pain with a slipped disc, Jayasundara worked from home to avoid delay in the process. Part of the result of Jayasundara's work is the setting up of the Government Construction Clients Panel which will discuss policy and organise best practice for the government's construction schedule.
