Compliance marketing: a new prescripton for healthier pharmaceutical sales

Article Abstract:

An increasing number of pharmaceutical companies are discovering that compliance marketing can help boost sales. What's the ROI? Measuring the effectiveness of DTC advertising

Article Abstract:

A complex formula is used to gauge the effectiveness of a direct-to- consumer advertising campaign. The formula, applied to the drug industry, involves the use of multiple variables in the calculation of incremental prescription volume. These five factors include the percentage of the target market, the percentage that makes a doctor's appointment, the percentage that request the particular drug, the percentage that gets the prescription and the percentage that actually buys the drug.

How marketing can speed drug trials

Article Abstract:

The pharmaceutical industry has developed a vast number of potential blockbuster drugs to treat or cure many medical conditions. However, they are confronted with the problem of getting enough human volunteers to participate in clinical trials to test the efficacy of these drugs. These companies can accelerate the recruitment of volunteers without raising ethical issues by teaming up with specialized marketing firms that have the resources to selectively target potential trial volunteers and guide them through the enrollment process.
