Garden.com grows business into offline marketing programs

Article Abstract:

Garden.com is planning to launch new offline direct marketing campaigns and personalized online promotions after developing a clustering analysis software with software vendor Knowledge Discovery 1. The campaigns will be built using the retail reporting and analysis software application called Retail Discovery Suite. The software is designed for profiling around clusters of behavior including information on the plant hardiness zone in which each customer lives.

Aperture Technologies Inc decided it needed to target better and to understand the basic profiling of its customer base better after realizing that the company was lacking some critical analysis that would improve the effectiveness of its marketing campaigns. Part of the Stamford, CT-based business-to-business software provider involved enlisting the help of analytical marketing software product called MarketPlace Gold. Developed by Waltham, MA-based iMarket Inc, the software generates reports from companies' databases that identify trends in the data.
