Deal puts 123Greetings.com on eMechanics keyborads

Article Abstract:

123Greetings.com, a greeting card Web site, will have a proprietary key on the innovative keyboards developed by eMachines Inc as a result of a deal between the two companies. The keyboards developed by Irvine, CA-based computer retail firm eMachines have 19 buttons that are linked directly of e-commerce Web sites. Some of the buttons on eMachines' Internet keyboards can be programmed by the consumer, while others are already linked to Web sites such as 123Greetings.com.

Printer to use Digimaric's Internet link technology

Article Abstract:

Lancaster, PA-based Intelligencer Printing Co has signed a deal with Portland, OR-based Digimarc Corp to use of its watermark technology for printing direct mail campaigns. Digimarc's system embeds print pieces with an Internet link that can be scanned with Web cameras or scanners. The URL code on the mail piece will directly lead the recipient to a Web page containing targeted offers. Intelligencer will be the first printer to use the technology for direct mail pieces.

MP3.com casts net for retailers

Article Abstract:

MP3.com, a San Diego, CA-based online provider of digital music, has inked a deal with music retailer Outernet Inc to sell songs available at MP3. The deal allows Outernet, which opened its first store in Apple Valley, MN, and plans to open 20 more stores within 10 months, to offer its customers with customized CDs by ordering songs at in-store kiosks with touch screens. Under the deal, MP3, Outernet and music artists will split sales.
