Fawsley stakes claim to be 'champion'

Article Abstract:

The UK government has proposed the Royal Fine Art Commission (RFAC) be granted the role of monitoring and promoting quality architecture, after a review of the existing monitoring bodies was undertaken by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. RFAC chairman Lord St John of Fawsley claimed the organisation already provides high standards within the architectural sector, while surviving on a budget of 700,000 pounds sterling per year. Lord St John would like to see more funding to help the organisation become less focused on London-based architecture.
