Fry's matters

Article Abstract:

Four housing associations have joined together to build the Fry's Hill social housing development in Oxford, England. This will have 169 units for shared ownership and 396 for rent. Of the rental units, 173 will be general homes, with 51 being lifetime specification units, 24 wheelchair standard units, 80 category one flats for the elderly and 68 category two flats for the elderly. The development is being undertaken by a number of different contractors. It adjoins the Blackbird Leys estate, where there have been serious social problems, and these have been taken into consideration in the design of the new development.
