Google buys Keyhole, teams with BellSouth for local search sales

Article Abstract:

Google's deal with BellSouth to sell its paid search ads to local businesses using RealPages.com, is presented. Google also bought Keyhole, which uses 3D satellite photos, to improve its local search capabilities. BellSouth is the first authorized reseller of Google and it will participate sales training and customer incentives.

Overture starts ad program for local search

Overture Service rolled out its local search platform allowing advertisers to target their advertisements within a half-mile radius. The Local Match would encompass national and local advertisers, letting both target their paid listings to searchers on a local level.
