Article Abstract:

The S.B. 109, passed by the Kentucky House of Representatives was the last phase of the complete'clean-up' and licensure modernization of factory-built housing legislation, supported by the State Fire Marshal's Office. This Bill basically consisted of languages necessary for renewal of laws influencing the application, enforcement and regulatory administrations of licensed factory-built home retailers, manufacturers and certified installers in Kentucky.

The bills passed during the Arizona Legislative Session directly relevant to the Manufactured Housing Industry of Arizona (MHIA) and its members are discussed. Some of the proposals of the new code and development standards for rural areas within forests by the Governor's Task Force on Forest Issues were expected to raise the overall housing costs in rural areas.

Article Abstract:

A meeting of Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee was held from November 29 to December 1, 2005. The meeting discussed the proposed rules for implementation of Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000 that were reported by HUD.
