Help reel teen girls in through style

Article Abstract:

Catalogers and Internet retailers should learn to capitalize on generation Y which has a sizable customer base of 40 million American teen-agers. They grow by 10% and spend about $200 million annually. The key to selling to this viable niche is by understanding who they are. Things should be proportioned for the smaller frames of pre-teens, or tweens, who do not want to shop in the women's departments since the styles are more suited for their mothers or grandmothers. E-tailers can tailor their content and community to their interests which can include downloads of music and disc jockey mixes, personalized horoscopes and interviews with teen celebrities.

Internet retailer Kozmo.com closes

Article Abstract:

Kozmo.com, an Internet retailer and delivery company, has announced that it will close its operations, liquidate its assets and terminate all its 1,100 employees. The company's closure is believed to be caused by its failure to close a merger with PDQuick, an online grocery delivery firm based in Los Angeles, CA. This marks the end of the three-year-old company's bid to revolutionize convenience shopping with its same-day delivery service.
