Highest mail growth in 15 years

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Postal Service reported a net income of $1.7 billion and also recorded 5.5 percent increase in mail volume. Despite this unprecedented growth, USPS is planning to increase rates to pay for deficit-reduction stamp taxes being imposed on postal services.

Consumer mail in plastic bags: bonanza or disaster?

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Postal Service was working on a program that would seriously reduce response rates for direct mail. This program would allow automatically packing or unitizing consumer mail in plastic bags that carriers could easily deliver one package per household.

USPS: expand customized postage
