Honeywell to manufacture next-generation blowing agent

Article Abstract:

Honeywell has disclosed that it has filed a Notice of Commencement of Manufacture (NOC) with the Environmental Protection Agency for its next- generation blowing agent, HFC-245fa. The NOC is the final step necessary to approve the new chemical and have it listed on the Toxic Substance Control Act Inventory. HFC-245fa is a non-ozone depleting blowing agent designed primarily to replace HCFC-141b, which is used in a variety of rigid insulated foams.

Self-adhered underlayment

Article Abstract:

Grace Construction Products has developed the Icy and Water Shield self- adhered roofing underlayment which is designed for premium roof leak protection. The membrane is composed of two waterproofing materials: an aggressive rubberized asphalt adhesive backed by a layer of high density cross laminated polyethylene. The membrane is supplied in two roll sizes, and membrane strips are also available.

Custom-Bilt Metals has supplied AstonWood steel shingles for eighty new cabins at Mogollon Resort Cabins near Phoenix, Arizona. The steel shingles, which resemble cedar shingles, have the advantages of not buckling or warping in extreme temperatures.
