Inference unveils e-commerce automation software

Article Abstract:

Inference is introducing a new Internet marketing software which is a major factor in its restructuring strategy. The software called k-Commerce for Sales version 2.0 is designed to allow marketers set up standards that automatically yields particular offers, promotions or other responses on the Web site. The firm has ambitious goals for the k-Commerce Sales division including a $7-million-revenue from the product by yearend 2000.

Macromedia adds analysis to design tools

Article Abstract:

Macromedia will introduce a new software based on its Dreamweaver site design technology and the Aria site activity analysis software. The new product, called Dreamweaver Objects for Aria, can be used in analyzing page views, clickstreams and visitor navigation into various Web sites. It uses a Web interface and the analysis objects can be installed in a drag- and-drop manner using a mouse. The company is also putting up a public space on the Internet where Web site elements that perform pre-built functions can be downloaded.

BlueStreak plugs banner design system

BlueStreak.com, a rich media technology company, rolled out a banner- building system called On-The-Fly to both electronic businesses and ad agencies. The new product will help online advertisers shape and make banners through a Windows-like environment and then post them on the Internet almost immediately. The company eyes charging clients either for every 1,000 ad impressions or in a commission basis.
