Internet shop explains how to go global

Article Abstract:

DAE Interactive Marketing was borne out of founder Wei-Tai Kwok's foresight that a new breed of marketing communications company was needed for doing business on the World Wide Web. The company's first contract in 1996 was building a Chinese Web site for Apple Computers, which was then selling a Chinese dictation kit. He found it difficult to convince US companies to localize their Web sites for maximum buying impact. Kwok points out that English could be a barrier in countries where the population prefers to speak the native language, such as in Japan.
