Is it time to reinvent the consumer boat show?

Article Abstract:

Although the Internet helps consumers to research and gather information on boats, it will not be able to replace boat shows as consumers want a closer look before the purchase. Novelty selling techniques are essential in boat shows. Too many boat shows has puzzled consumers. Exhibitors are giving free boats and incentives so as to attract consumers.

No solace in fall shows

Article Abstract:

The consumers are exercising caution in purchasing boats this season, primarily because of the weather. The mounting fuel prices and economic trends in US are also dampening the spirits. Consequently, the boat shows have not registered the anticipated sales. However, the industry is optimistic that these trends will change.
