Article Abstract:

Chief executives of construction contractors wishing to expand into Europe should be sure of their reasons before they proceed. The safest way to invest in Europe is through joint ventures with local companies that already operate successfully in their domestic markets. Those considering establishing offshore companies should realise that the British practice of conforming to national rules and regulations is uncommon in the rest of Europe, where corruption and cartels abound.

Article Abstract:

This covers the work of 27 top UK architectural photographers, and therefore embraces many different styles. Some of the work is rather too predictable, but most of it is of very high quality. In particular, the black-and-white photographs of David Herrod are extremely well composed.

Article Abstract:

Contracting industry companies need to establish a clear set of long term objectives and adhere to them. However some companies believe that making a few cosmetic changes and declaring large provision and write-downs is sound strategy. Companies have had to make disposals of businesses which were expensively acquired over the past 20 years, and this has been disastrous for shareholders.
