Jupiter flexes European muscle, buys Swedish company

Article Abstract:

Jupiter Communications Corp, a leading Internet service company, acquired Intelligence AB, a Stockholm, Sweden-based research and consulting firm, in Aug 1999. The consulting part of Intelligence AB will be spun off, while the research and sales division will be integrated into a Jupiter Scandinavian operation to boost Jupiter's presence in the Scandinavian market. Phil Dwyer, Jupiter's managing director for Europe, said the firm considers Scandinavia as a key market because e-commerce in the country is bigger than in France or Germany.
