Kelley gets key role in expansion at Davis
Article Abstract:
Rusty Kelly has been appointed president of Davis Boatworks, to help the Wanchese, NC-based boatbuilder double its output to 20 boats in 2001. With the appointment of Kelly, founder Buddy Davis becomes chairman of the board while Jeff Dickson assumes the position of chief executive officer. Davis manufactures sportfishing boats up to 70 ft, and will unveil five new models in 2001. The expansion resulted from additional investment by Dickson in the company, which enabled Davis to add new facilities, tooling and mold.

Boating World names Dave Kelley executive editor
Article Abstract:
Boating World magazine has named veteran writer Dave Kelley to be its executive editor in Jan 2000. His duties are mostly those done by magazine's former editor in chief, Joe Skorupa, who left for a top editorial executive job at Boats.com. Kelley's main responsibility will be to oversee the content of the Atlanta, GA-based magazine and its Web site, www.boatingworldonline.com. He will also supervise the redesigning of the site.
