MHCC subcommittees report results at Dallas meeting

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee met in Dallas, Texas to plan future aims and to discuss its 5 subcommittees. The subcommittees include: the Standards Subcommittee, the Installation Subcommittee, The Enforcement Subcommittee, the Planning Committee, and the Subcommittee on Dispute Resolution, which was renamed from the Standards and Regulatory Processing Subcommittee.

The issues related to the model installation standards, the Depertment of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dispute resolution program, the installation program, the on-site completion proposed rule, changes to the HUD code, interpretation of section 604 of the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000 (MHIA 2000), and Subpart I reform which are discussed in the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) are presented.

MHCC holds meetings on implementation of 2000 Act

Article Abstract:

Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee held a conference in late 2005 and early 2006 to review the implementation of final installation standards proposed by HUD. In this context, the provisions of Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000, and Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards are also discussed.
