MHI forums renew interest in land use

Article Abstract:

The manufactured housing industry's success is evident in several new home production that gained high record sales for three consecutive years, new manufactured home community developments and trade shows that are attracting capacity crowds of vendors and visitors. Industry executives, land planning specialists and other related parties have gathered in three regional forums, sponsored by MHI, to determine problems to land development using manufactured homes and create strategies to overcome them.

Florida Communities may be gone, but its legacy still lingers

Article Abstract:

The Florida Communities is a good example of how sellers of manufactured houses can successfully integrate effective leasing and sales methods with superior curb appeal. Site evaluation is usually done through mystery shopping. In said housing community, travel directions and signs were amply supplied by the developers. Sales consultants were adequately trained in all aspects of customer service.

Non-HUD code dollar volume in 1996

All American Homes of Elkhart, IN led the non-HUD code dollar volume in 1996 with a dollar volume of $98,758,506 followed by Greenwood, DE-based Nanticoke Homes with a dollar volume of $50,000,000. Schult Homes of Middlebury, IN ranked third with a dollar volume of $44,519,149, while Champion Entreprises ranked fourth with a $44,000,000 dollar volume.
