MSI boosts printing services with Waldon buy

Article Abstract:

Metro Seliger Industries of Woodside, NY, acquired printer and typesetter Waldon Press of New York that will permit its development into a one-stop center of end-to-end printing and mailing services, indicated Metro Seliger Industries president/CEO Jeffrey Riback. Waldon Press had around $10 million in annual revenues. Its acquisition will increase database management company Metro Seliger Industries' size twofold. Metro Seliger Industries is aiming to venture into publishing, pharmaceuticals, and financial services.

E-commerce takes prominent place in home of the future

Excite@Home of Redwood City, CA, has partnered with computer networking giant Cisco System Systems Inc of San Jose, CA, to demonstrate how a home that uses its services might look like in the future. The "future" home features interactive TVs, PCs, appliances and hand-held devices which are connected to the Web. The demonstration showcased how companies will be able to bring the products and electronic commerce straight into the homes of the consumers.

Flycast strikes $11M deal for InterStep

Article Abstract:

Online advertising firm Flycast Communications Corp of San Francisco, CA, has acquired digital marketing firm InterStep of Cambridge, MA, for more than $11 million in stock. Interstep offers e-mail delivery and management services to high-end clients such as the Washington Post and Newsweek Interactive. Flycast said that with the acquisition of InterStep, it will offer the services to smaller e-mail publishers who subscribe to its e- mail ad network.
