Broadway campaign takes flight

Integrated communications provider Broadwing will launch a 10-month, multimillion direct response marketing campaign to present itself to prospective customers. The company will use its logo, a hawk, and allude to predatory situations in nature in which managers can relate to. Broadwing was established as a result of Cincinnati Bell's acquisition of IXC Communications. Broadwing will also present ads in magazines such as Business Week, Forbes and Fortune.

Fiberlink sleuths out BTB campaign

Fiberlink is launching its first major direct marketing campaign featuring a hero that is a cross between Dick Tracy and Superman. The campaign, which Hot Productions created for the firm, was modeled after a 1940s serial murder mysteries. Fiberlink plans to start its direct mailing campaign to information technology directors and chief information officers of companies belonging to the Fortune 2000 category.

Mitsubishi takes honesty campaign further

Mitsubishi has launched an integrated marketing campaign for two new products, namely, the 2001 luxury Montero SUV and the redesigned 2001 Eclipse Spyder. The firm is using the same theme from its successful marketing campaign in 1999 and bringing it to the next level which includes direct mail, TV, national print, Web and point-of-purchase materials. The campaign, which is worth $45 million, was created by Los Angeles, CA-based Deutsch.
