New EPA Clean Air rules affect MH industry

Article Abstract:

The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 aims to reduce the amount of ozone-depleting substances released into the atmosphere. Under this law, the EPA proposes to require recycling and recovery of chlorofluorocarbons and hydrochlorofluorocarbons prior to disposal of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. In addition, the EPA would require testing of recovery and recycling equipment as well as certification of reclaimers and contractors. These proposed regulations will also have wide-ranging effects on the prefabricated houses industry.
