Paper weight

Article Abstract:

Disputes relating to contractual documents are common in the UK construction industry. Most frequently, they relate to the terms of contracts between contractors and subcontractors, rather than to whether such contracts exist at all. These disputes arise even though almost all work is sublet. It is possible that the excessively high levels of paperwork associated with the contractual process are a key factor in creating disputes about contracts.
