QCL sends mailing touting 2 Web sites

Article Abstract:

QCL Group Inc of Watkinsville, GA, is promoting two new services on the Internet via a postal direct mail campaign. The new Web sites are Quickvend.com and Stockfiling.com which will both be marketed on a single 3-in-by-5-in card in a cooperative package called 1st Wallstreeter. Stockfiling.com offers investment information and stock quotes while Quickvend.com connects Web-site owners with merchants and manufacturers.

Cox Direct to offer branded mailer

Article Abstract:

Cooperative direct mailing company Cox Direct of St Peterburg, FL, has signed a co-branding deal with the Lamaze Institute of Family Education of Darien, CT. The deal covers Cox Direct's co-op envelope called See Them Grow From Lamaze Family aimed at families with infants and toddlers. The envelopes will be mailed 750,000 households with babies age 2 months to 2 years using mailing lists from Cox's database and from Lamaze Family Magazine's subscriber list.

Article Abstract:

A survey released by Bruskin-Goldring Research for Morristown, NJ-based DVC ActiveCare revealed that drug makers who use direct mail to promote prescription compliance should integrate educational elements to serve them better and their patients. Of the 1011 adults polled, 70% said that having a better understanding of their condition and the action of their medications have made their comply with their prescribed therapy. Only 33% of the respondents said a direct mail reminder would have made them comply with their treatment regiment.
