Roundtable focuses on marine engine market

Article Abstract:

The second Soundings Trade Only Roundtable, held in Orlando, FL, on Aug 18, 1999, during the opening day of the International Marine Trades Exhibit and Conference, focused primarily on the marine engine industry's response to current and future regulatory pressures. Most of the industry panelists agreed that the R and D efforts being conducted at present will be capable of meeting the challenges poised by those regulatory pressures in order to deliver products that will be both healthier and superior.

MerCruiser setting up diesel power network

Mercury MerCruiser Diesel Business Unit, based in Stillwater, OK, has reached an agreement with four other firms that will allow MetCruiser to set up a network of diesel power centers across the US. The network will focus on sales, service, parts, accessories and application engineering. The four firms comprising the network are Boatswain's Locker Inc, Davidson's Metro Power, Northeast Marine Power and Stewart Stevenson.
