Roundtable looks at the state of the industry

Article Abstract:

The Seventh Annual International Networking Roundtable of the manufactured home industry was conducted at the Marriott Hotel in Delray Beach, FL, in late Sep 1998. Participants were one in the belief that the economic aspects of the industry are steadily improving. Other important issues discussed include terminology, the need to assess the accomplishments of the National Communities Council, the effectiveness of the Valuation Calculation Worksheet and raw land development.

Sharing ideas with peers never gets old

Article Abstract:

The Networking Roundtable held in Apr 1992 in Clearwater Beach, FL, brought together 50 prominent professionals in the prefabricated houses industry from all over the US and Canada. All the attendees were owners of at least five manufactured housing communities. Among the topics of discussion are property leasing and renting, selling of new and used prefabricated dwellings, and community financing. The conference was sponsored by GFA Management and PMN Publishing.

A meeting of community owners/operators has met in Chicago to discuss issues concerning the industry. Among the topics discussed were the need to profitably and effectively fill vacant rental homesites and to ensure good resident relations.
