Safety pays

Article Abstract:

Workers in the roofing and construction industries are faced with accident risk more than their counterparts in other industries. This high risk level makes it necessary to establish consistent safety practices. A 1997 of FMI Corp entitled 'US Construction Industry Training' showed industry emphasis on safety training as a major budget priority. The roofing industry's serious safety focus is also reflected in the Roofing Industry Partnership Program for Safety and Health formed by the National Roofing Contractos Assn and the OSHA.
