Sybase adds to intelligence software

Emeryville, CA-based Sybase has completed the integration of Sybase Industry Warehouse Studio software with offerings from business intelligence market leaders Business Objects and Microstrategy Inc and Cognos. The product now offers a complete business intelligence value chain, including data acquisition, data modeling, metadata management, data analysis, data storage and analytic applications.

Giants team to create medical software

Article Abstract:

Pfizer, IBM and Microsoft are planning to create an independent company that will develop and provide integrated financial, administrative and clinical software and services for physicians in group practices. Pfizer will lead the initiative and provide knowledge of the medical industry. Microsoft will provide its Microsoft.net technologies and enterprise servers as the platform for the new company. IBM will consult on architectural design and development as well as work on strategic outsourcing. The company's name and location have yet to be determined by the three firms.
