Is subscription lift as clear as black and white?

Article Abstract:

Men's Health magazine's color change from a white background to a black one has resulted in a 6% increase in subscriptions than the previous mailing. The magazine had used the white background since introducing the 10-inch-by-14-inch, 12-page piece in 1999. In Oct 2000, it switched to a black background after a magazine tested an international piece that saw a black background do better.
