Its roofing and asphalt division is the leading residential roofing shingles manufacturer in the US. Owens Corning operates 15 roofing manufacturing facilities throughout the US.

EcoStar Inc leads the roofing materials industry in the development and production of recycled roofing products. EcoStar products are based on a mixture of post-industrial rubber and plastic called Starloy. Product brands include Majestic Slate Tile, Celestial Slate Tile, EuroSlate Tile and Nova Walkway Pads. All EcoStar-approved applicators are trained and certified before installing the company's warranted roofing systems.
