Learning abilities

Article Abstract:

Professional institutions in the construction industry will require members to undertake continuing professional development (CPD) from Jan 1 1993. Most professionals will have to prove they have completed a minimum of 20 hours CPD a year in order to retain their credentials. Evidence of CPD is becomming necessary for indemnity insurance, quality assurance and is demanded by many clients. CPD is intended to keep professionals up-to-date and need not be expensive. Firms should develop structured programmes for their staff.
