We have to sell them

Article Abstract:

The need to meet the expectations of "visually-oriented consumers" has prompted the necessity of well-developed consumer education programs in the manufactured housing industry. One way of providing an easy and quick presentation is through the use of professionally produced videotapes as this allows consumers to appreciate the essential aspects of constructing dwellings and the quality of materials and appliances. Retailers must also work on their product consistency, create attractive and clean outdoor designs and use appropriate ad display for their products.

Guiding prospects to a purchase decision

Article Abstract:

Prefabricated house sales representatives can substantially increase their income by carefully directing their prospects to a buying decision. This can be done if the salesperson gathers specific data with regards to the activities and interests of the prospect. This will allow the salesperson to assist the prospect in discovering the benefits of buying a particular house. A significant move is to obtain the confidence of the prospect and the best method for this is to have the referral source introduce the salesperson.

An educated consumer is your best customer

Article Abstract:

Prefabricated housing manufacturers are advised to produce public relations programs and convince television stations to air them to change the prevailing negative attitude towards manufactured homes. They should also train their sales personnel on how to properly present the features of prefabricated houses. By following these steps, consumers will be educated, and thus, become more open towards investing in this type of dwellings.
