Electronic messaging technology firm e2 Software Corp of Plano, TX, has launched its e-mail marketing service for processing sales leads based on preset directions. The service called 1-to-1 Web site gathers opt-in e- mail addresses of people who visit businesses' Net destinations, and then contact them with preset messages that vary according to the products that interest them. The company will charge customers on a per-mail basis, plus set charge that ranges from $2,000 to $20,000.

MSN crosses vendors to tap holiday surge

Microsoft Corp of Redmond, WA, has launched MSN eShop, an Internet site that allows consumers to look for a specific product and compare items and promotional offerings from store to store. The move is parallel to the creation of a similar cross-vendor comparison site by Lycos Inc and is expected to spur competition between the two companies in the 1999 holiday season. The two sites will compete in holiday online sales valued at $4 billion.

Brodia.com enters digital wallet space

Article Abstract:

Broadia.com has launched its electronic wallet service which it plans to co-branmd with major financial institutions. The company's "shopping remote" service automatically complete online orders forms at e-commerce sites, after consumers who sign onto the service entered their credit card numbers, addresses and other purchasing information. The "shopping console" service tracks consumers' purchase records and manages e-mail from merchants.
