A Choice win in the defamation court

Article Abstract:

Choice published an article in 1992 that exposed a faulty hose connection in Bowin Designs' Mod-n-Aire MS12 gas heater. Several consumers reported that the hose became detached, igniting leaking gas. Bowin Designs sued Choice for defamation, but it was ruled that Choice was within its rights and acting for the good of the consumer when it published the article.

Article Abstract:

The Meyer Anolon 81146AP ($129) won top ratings in a test of 14 woks. It performed well on both gas and electric stoves, and was easy to clean and durable. Two electric woks were also tested, with the Breville EW10 ($129) scoring slightly better than the other. Tips for buying and cooking with a wok are included.
