Who wants Medicare dead?

Article Abstract:

Australian health officials are promoting a two-tiered health system in which only the poor receive public services and tax incentives finance a private system for other Australians. The two-tiered system that already exists in the US has caused growing problems in coverage. Australia should retain universal coverage.

Complaining about private health insurance

Article Abstract:

New Private Health Insurance Complaints Commissioner Mary Perrett has processed more than 200 complaints in her first year. Waiting periods for pre-existing conditions receive the most complaints. One in seven cases resulted in companies agreeing to augment payments to complainants.
