A survey of multi-purpose vehicles is presented alphabetically and in table form. A best buy in the class is the Ford Galaxy, priced from 17,640 pounds sterling for a new model. The vehicle has accurate and positive steering while acceleration with the 2-litre engine is smooth and quiet. However, visibility is poor and there is restricted headroom in the back. Other multi-purpose vehicles are evaluated.
