What's wrong with these ads?

Article Abstract:

Examples of printed ads which break the British Code of Advertising Practice or exclude related costs are presented. In a survey of 2,000 people, almost one in five said they had wanted to complain about an ad in the last 12 months, but only one in 20 had done so. The Advertising Standards Authority is the watchdog responsible for ads in newspapers, videos and in cinemas, while the Independent Television Authority takes care of TV ads, and the Radio Authority, radio ads. Case studies of people who complained about ads are also presented.

Credit rip-offs

Article Abstract:

Newspaper ads for loans seem trouble-free at a first glance, but often have hidden catches. Interest charged on such loans is much higher than that charged by high-street lenders. Loan shark ads are often inaccurate in their initial claims. Bad personal experiences with differing lenders including First Choice Finance and Mortgages and Murtagh are presented.
