Ring my bell: millenium problems

Article Abstract:

The millenium problem is likely to affect all businesses that use microprocessor-based systems, including telephone systems. It is estimated by the Central Computer and Telecoms Agency that some 40,000 UK businesses could fail because of the problem. The millenium problem, although mainly affecting computers, will also impact on telephone systems which rely on microprocessors, such as voice mail and interactive voice response systems. All users of telephone systems should, as a matter of urgency, check with makers and dealers that their system is year 2000 compliant.
