Experimental research method in a management accounting context

Article Abstract:

Careful attention should be paid to the four building blocks of the experimental method to increase its utilization in management accounting. Task design, experiment design, experiment procedures and post-test questionnaire design are the four building blocks of the experiment. Designing the experiment should take into account the four blocks to ensure internal validity and experimental realism. By carefully studying the design of the experiment, the researcher can depend on the experimental method as a primary means of research inquiry.

Why worry about the weather?

Article Abstract:

Two books on climate change and the effects of the El Nino phenomenon on society and climate have come at a most propitious time. The year 1997 highlighted news on global warming, storms, droughts and rising seas and culminated in a gathering at Kyoto, Japan. This sudden focus on the weather and climate reveals their importance on the economy and society, particularly the future generations. Thus, the books offer analyses to help people be the conscientious stewards of humanity's future.
