Article Abstract:

Results of a survey conducted in November 2003 in the United States by the National Federation of Independent Business Owners (NFIB), based on questionnaires sent to its members, focus on the many problems faced by owners. Rising insurance cost was considered the biggest problem followed by taxes, poor sales, government regulation and red tape, availability of qualified employees, labor costs, credit availability and interest rates, and inflation.

Article Abstract:

Results of a survey conducted in November 2003 in the United States by the National Federation of Independent Business Owners (NFIB), based on questionnaires sent to its members, indicate the outlook for small businesses. Fifty-one percent of those who responded expected the economy to strengthen over the following six months and five percent expected the economy to weaken.
