Article Abstract:

A new image processing system, the Cellular Logic Array Processor (CLIP) has been developed and is in the midst of being tested. Human retina procedures have been integrated into the parallel array processor. CLIP is up to 100,00 times faster than conventional image processors. Edge detection, image shrinking, and expansion can be performed within one instruction cycle.
