Article Abstract:

A California bill, which would ban discrimination against homosexuals wherever five or more persons are employed, has been vetoed by Governor George Deukmejian who called it divisive and unnecessary. Homosexuals have effective political groups within both the Republican and Democratic parties in California. Candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination, with the exception of John Glenn, have endorsed the cause of homosexual rights.
